Culture plays a huge role on gender differences starting at an early age. Children will develop gender based- beliefs because they see gender stereotypes all around them. Parents and the society enforce gender stereotypes everyday that largely effects a child's view on what is wrong and what is right in gender roles. For example Australia differs from Michigan in many ways. Although both gave the woman a right to vote, the nature of society is very different. Australian society was built to have systematic gender based discrimination against women. On the other hand Michigan has discrimination against men. Women in Australia have trouble in the work place more than men do in the work place in Michigan. Men in Michigan struggle with masculinity and femininity. We live in the same world yet our views on gender identity differ.
